Hard rockers, “The Cult” will be descending upon Austin, Texas in Rocktober!
From Bradford, United Kingdom, this classic band is known for hits such as “Peace Dog“, “Wildflower“, “Love Removal Machine” and of course, “Fire Woman“. The bands singer, Ian Astbury, originally named the band “Southern Death Cult“ in 1981 which earned the name from a Native American ritual. They dropped the word ‘Southern‘ and became “Death Cult“. The band eventually decided the name was too macabre and finally became “The Cult“. Hmmmm…’Goth Fathers’ I presume??
