The 10th Annual 2015 Fun Fun Fun Fest is over. Austin returns to normal as the festival goers return home and wait for next year. This years line up featured Cheap Trick, Jane’s Addiction, and Venom just to name a few. Even though the festival was scheduled during the city’s first cold snap, the crowd refused to falter. The bands continued to play on through the cold, as the fans braved the muddy grounds.
On Saturday, JANE’S ADDICTION played on the Orange Stage. Staying true to their word, they opened with STOP, which is the first song off of their CD “Ritual De lo Habitual”. Their stage was set up using the beautiful downtown Austin skyline as their backdrop, as scantily dressed women danced 20 feet in the air above them. Dave Navarro ripped on lead guitar, never missing a beat while singer and front man Perry Farrell interacted with the crowd.
One stage over on the Blue Stage, the WU TANG CLAN also put on a good show. This old school rap band performed as massive amounts of energy generated through the crowd. They might be old school, but they still got down like the youngsters!
On Sunday, as the festival was finally beginning to wind down, the music sure was not! Performing on the Black Stage and wrapping up the 3 day festival, was the legendary, dark metal VENOM. The band has kicked off their North American tour here in Austin. Great show, great crowd, great bands! Cant wait for next year!
This particular blog is really entertaining. I will come back again! Thanks!
