The Ace of Spades is Gone, but Will Never Be Forgotten

Tragedy strikes the world of rock and roll once again as Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, the bassist and lead singer of legendary heavy metal band, MOTORHEAD has passed away today, leaving behind thousands of mourning fans. Born in Burslem, UK on  December 24, 1945, Lemmy had just celebrated his 70th birthday on Christmas Eve.

According to several news sources, two days after his birthday, Lemmy learned that the cause of his many recent health issues was due to the fact that he was suffering from an extremely aggressive form of cancer. Unfortunately, Lemmy did not have time to seek any form of treatment as two days after receiving  the news, he passed away in Los Angeles, California.

The iconic metal band, MOTORHEAD formed in 1975 and since released numerous hits including “We Are The Road Crew” as well as their signature song, “The Ace Of Spades.” MOTORHEAD has been such a huge influence on so many heavy metal musicians throughout the years. As their music will continue to live on, they will always be remembered for their gruff-sounding, bassist and front man.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Although you will be dearly missed, your influence and your music will live on forever-
RIP LEMMY
